This Is The Best Time Of The Year To Visit Spiti Valley

Lying on the higher expanses of Himachal Pradesh, the astoundingly gorgeous Spiti Valley wears different hues at different times of the year. Snowy paths can be spotted in Spiti almost all around the year. During winters, the valley turns into a spotless white dreamland with snow covering every inch of it. The beauty is overwhelming here in the cold months but with fewer amenities. Winter temperatures in Spiti can fall below -20°C and water gets frozen. Also, during this time, the valley remains accessible only via the Shimla route (NH-05). The road to Spiti via Manali is shut during winters. Due to heavy snowfall, it gets challenging to drive through the Shimla route too. Winter in Spiti extends from December to March.
