Our latest Sunday Brunch was a mix of indulgence and financial confessions as our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, sat down with the Hisaab Barabar trio—R. Madhavan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Kirti Kulhari. While food was definitely on the table, so was the topic of their most extravagant purchases. From surprise reactions at home to splurges like a yacht, the conversation had its fair share of laughs and revelations. Read on to find out!
R. Madhavan Sets The Record Straight On His ‘Luxury Yacht’

In a Sunday Brunch chat with Kamiya Jani, the Hisaab Barabar cast—R. Madhavan, Neil, and Kirti—spilled the beans on their most extravagant purchases. When asked about the most expensive thing he owns, Maddy cheekily hinted at a past controversy, saying, “I already answered that, it became a big controversy.” Pressed further, he clarified that while reports made it seem like he owned a sprawling 75-foot luxury yacht in the Caribbean, the reality was far more modest—a small boat, which he unapologetically enjoys. As for where it’s docked? “It’s in Dubai,” he revealed. The conversation took a fun turn when talk of future splurges arose, with Madhavan laughingly adding that after photos of his yacht and house surfaced, his mother had quite a reaction. Looks like there’s no stopping the indulgences just yet!

Hisaab Barabar Cast Cracked The Code For Go-To Recipes
The Hisaab Barabar cast dished out their go-to recipes, starting with Kolkata’s iconic egg roll. “You need onions, thinly sliced lengthwise, which you should marinate with lemon juice, a little salt, and chaat masala,” R. Madhavan explained, detailing how the egg is cracked directly onto a paratha as it cooks, rather than making an omelette separately. The finishing touches? Marinated onions, green chillies, a dash of lemon juice, and a drizzle of ketchup before rolling it up for a perfect bite.
Kirti, meanwhile, shared her love for oats chilla—a healthy breakfast option made by soaking oats and semolina, blending them, and mixing in onions, coriander, and green chillies before cooking them into thin pancakes. Neil, ever the minimalist, vouched for a simple yet satisfying sunny-side-up egg: “Just toast some oats and have it with a nice sunny-side-up egg—it completely does justice to the day.” From indulgence to health-conscious choices, this conversation had it all—except, perhaps, an unbroken egg!
