A food vlogger has brought this to the forefront with a viral video and we can’t wait to slurp fresh falooda while savouring stunning views of the water body.

Viral Video Of Kashmiri Falooda Near Dal Lake Takes Over The Internet

Food vlogger @foodpandits took to the Instagram channel to share a video of a street food vendor near Dal Lake selling Kashmiri falooda. Interestingly, this Kashmiri falooda stall has been a constant for the past 15 to 20 years near Dal Lake. If you haven’t been to this place yet, then this video introduces you to the stall, the enthusiastic vendor and the mouth-watering dessert.

In the video, the street food vendor introduces us to this item and says he served Kashmiri falooda, a famous item in the region. Next, he takes us through the making of this dish. First, he adds two vanilla ice cream scoops in the bottom of a plastic cup. Then, he adds fresh vermicelli also called lachha or seviyaan. The street food vendor then takes falooda-flavoured ice cream scoops from an ice box and adds them to the dish.

Netizens Had Mixed Reactions

Then, he tops the dish with Amul condensed milk and drizzles roohafza. For chocoholics, he drizzled Hershey’s chocolate syrup. The Kashmiri falooda is completed with a sprinkle of tutti-fruity and colourful chocolate sprinkles. And there you have it, Kashmiri falooda in your hands as you soak in pristine views of Dal Lake and majestic mountains.

In no time this video went viral, garnering over 2.5 million views and 170,751 likes. While the making looked interesting, this Kashmiri falooda received mixed reactions from Netizens. Many didn’t find it authentic as it contained condensed milk, more ice cream than required and even chocolate syrup. But there were some who were curious to try it and found the dish to look quite appetising.
