For Mathews, it spoke volumes about his character. On glancing at Mathews, Ratan Tata, with his trademark humour asked him, “Am I chasing you? Or are you chasing me?” This light-hearted interaction captured the late businessman’s ability to connect with people irrespective of the situation. Mr Mathews who is also the Chairman of the Group of Technology Companies (GTech) grieved the demise of India’s beloved business leader He said that Ratan Tata’s demise was a great loss to the business world and India.
