The Railways has unveiled plans to introduce 36 special train services connecting the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus or LTT in Mumbai and Raxaul in Bihar to address the increasing passenger demand. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and accommodate the growing number of travellers along this route. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about these special trains.

According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, the outbound service, designated as 05586 special, will commence its journey from LTT Mumbai every Sunday at 4 PM. This service is scheduled to run until 2 January 2025, completing a total of 18 trips.

Passengers aboard this train will reach their destination, Raxaul, at 7:45 AM on the third day of travel, providing ample time for rest and preparation upon arrival. In the opposite direction, the 05585 special will depart from Raxaul at 4:55 PM every Friday.

This service is set to continue until 31 January 2025, also totalling 18 trips. Travellers on this route will arrive at LTT Mumbai at 7:25 AM on the third day, allowing for a convenient morning arrival in the bustling metropolis.

Both special train services have been thoughtfully planned to include stops at key stations along their route. These halts will serve passengers from various regions and facilitate smoother travel connections. The stations where the trains will stop include Kalyan, Nasik, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Cheoki, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Danapur, Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, and Bairgania.

By providing additional transportation options between LTT Mumbai and Raxaul, the Railways aims to alleviate pressure on existing services and offer more flexibility to passengers planning their journeys. As these special trains traverse through diverse landscapes and connect multiple states, they are likely to become a preferred choice for both leisure and business travellers.
