But how often do we insist on the importance of responsible tourism? Responsible tourism is needed to protect the environment and the livelihoods of people associated with it. Gurugram Tourists Drive Audi Into Pangong Lake

Ladakh’s famous Pangong Lake is nestled at an altitude of 14,100 feet. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, this crystal blue lake is one of the largest and most srunning natural brackish lakes in India. Unfortunately, the lake , just like many others might be just a step away from dirt and contamination. Don’t believe us? Well, a video of group of 3 to 4 tourists from Gurugram driving an Audi Q3 in the lake has gone viral. In the video, the three men are seen hanging from the sunroof, while the driver takes the car in the Pangong Tso.

One Twitterati commented that the environemnt isn’t anyone’s personal property. Instead, it should be everyone’s responsbility to protect it. Others called authorites in Ladakh to take strict action against the tourists. We hope action will be taken against these tourists to condemn irresponsible tourism.
