— IndiGo (@IndiGo6E) December 6, 2025
IndiGo took to its X handle to share the latest update on flight operations. According to Hindustan Times, the airline has cancelled more than 2,000 flights in at least five days. The airline shared that it had to cancel a large number of flights recently. On the previous day alone, Saturday, November 6, the airline operated just over 700 flights, connecting 113 destinations. According to the airline, this reduced schedule was intentional.
Why? The goal was to reset the network, fix system issues, and rebuild crew rosters so that operations could restart more smoothly. IndiGo says that these steps were necessary to bring back stability and prevent further chaos. The airline also mentioned that it has already started seeing small signs of improvement.

Airline To Operate 1,500 Flights
For Sunday, November 7, IndiGo says it is on track to operate more than 1,500 flights by the end of the day. This is a significant jump from the previous day and suggests that operations are slowly recovering. The airline also shared an update on network connectivity. It claims that more than 95% of its route connections are back. IndiGo is now able to fly to 135 out of its 138 active destinations.
The airline admits that the recovery is not complete and that it still has a long way to go. IndiGo adds that it appreciates the support it has received from government agencies and its various partners during this difficult phase. Most importantly, the airline thanked its passengers for their patience and cooperation. It acknowledged that many travellers experienced long delays, sudden cancellations, and major inconvenience.
We hope the travel situation in the country soon gets back to normal.
