Delhi Metro Stations Remain Shut Amid Protest
The protest prompted authorities to restrict access to key stations across Central Delhi. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), 18 metro stations remained closed from 7:30 am until further notice. These stations include Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium and Jhandewalan. Later, New Delhi Metro Station was also included in the list, taking the total number of affected stations to 18.
Despite the shutdowns, interchange facilities continued to stay available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat, permitting passengers to switch between metro lines.

Security Tightened Around Jantar Mantar
As per reports by the Hindustan Times, security has been substantially heightened around the protest site at Jantar Mantar. Reports also stated that glass panels at the Janpath Metro Station, which is the closest station to the protest venue, were covered up with newspapers by the CISF, although the reason behind the move was not immediately known.
The closures follow similar rules imposed on Thursday, when the same stations remained shut for most of the day. Late on Thursday night, entry gates at Mandi House, Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat were temporarily reopened before the DMRC stated that the stations would again remain closed on Friday.
The restrictions have impacted thousands of daily commuters, including office-goers, lawyers, court staff, shoppers and tourists travelling through central Delhi.
