Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and if your partner is over the usual flowers, chocolates, and jewellery, then you know what they need? A well-planned trip, with you taking the lead! According to Booking.com’s ‘This Guy Books’ study, love has a new language this year, and it’s spoken through flights, thoughtfully planned getaways, romantic weekend escapes, and stress-free travel arrangements.
It’s Flight Tickets Over Flowers, Folks!
Diamonds and dinners are not what your loved one needs this Valentine’s Day! Instead, Booking.com’s ‘This Guy Books’ study shows that travel has become the ultimate love language for couples. With as many as 86% of Indian travellers admitting they find it “sexy” when a partner surprises them with a fully booked getaway.
Booking.com’s study reveals that 76% of Indian women believe men should take the lead in planning vacations. Yet, 8% say they’ve never had a partner fully organise or book a trip for them. This Valentine’s Day, 91% of women are hoping their partners will show more initiative in romantic gestures, starting with thoughtfully planning the travel itinerary.

Travel Is The Ultimate Love Language This Valentine’s Day
The study has revealed a shift in romance, where 4 out of 5 Indian women want men to swap flowers for flight tickets and travel plans this Valentine’s Day. 92% of women find it attractive when a partner takes charge of planning and booking. In fact, 82% of women would rather be with a man who plans thoughtful experiences than one who simply has a good physique. We mean no one gets that better than us!
If that wasn’t enough, 99% of women say they would likely give their partner extra affection if they booked a vacation for them without asking. But why this shift? For many women, it’s not just about convenience; it’s an emotional catalyst that deepens connections. When a partner handles the booking, they feel loved, excited, and deeply grateful.
A majority (almost 95%) of women admit they would be happier if their partners occasionally handled the full booking process for their shared trips. Close to 74% admit they feel especially “loved” when their partner handles all the travel logistics.
