This means you can explore an additional Malaysian destination at no additional charges during your trip. Read on to know more about this in detail.
Malaysia Airlines Offering A Bonus Trip With No Extra Fare
Ahead of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign, Malaysia Airlines has launched a Bonus Side Trip (BST) Programme that lets international travellers add a second Malaysian destination to their journey at no extra cost. Whether you’re transiting through Kuala Lumpur or planning a longer stay, this offer lets you discover more of Malaysia’s hidden gems.
The offer is valid for all international travellers flying with Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur. With this, passengers can enjoy a return domestic flight to one of 7 selected Malaysian destinations at no extra fare. These include Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Alor Setar, Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bharu. All of these destinations are known for their rich culture, stunning landscapes and warm hospitality. What’s more? The BST Programme is fully integrated into your ticket fare and booking process, which means no additional steps will be required to enjoy this offer.
Boosting Tourism With The ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2026’ Campaign
Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines and the Malaysia Aviation Group, confirmed the initiative and said, “As the national carrier, Malaysia Airlines invites global travellers to experience more and uncover the vibrant beauty of Malaysia through a side trip to one of seven handpicked domestic destinations. The Bonus Side Trip reflects our commitment to championing Malaysia as a preferred destination in Asia. It goes beyond connectivity, curating experiences that extend our Malaysian Hospitality into every corner of the country.”
This move supports the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign and aims to boost tourism by encouraging travellers to explore beyond the main cities of Malaysia. It will also strengthen ties between international tourism and local economies.
