This week, the UAE relaxed Covid-19 safety regulations. They eliminated the requirement for immunised incoming passengers to submit PCR testing before departure.

RegionWise PCR And Quarantine Rules For UAE Residents Travelling Outside

1. Saudi Arabia

All individuals need to present a pre-departure negative PCR test. The validity for the same would be 48hrs. Children below eight fall under an exemption.

Non-Saudi travellers who are non-vaccinated must provide documentation of receiving the requisite dosages. Also, submit vaccination data in the Tawakkalna app.

2. India

Passengers with complete vaccinations in India don’t require a Covid-19 PCR test to travel to India from the UAE. But passengers travelling from UAE to India has to present a negative Covid 19 PCR test report or a vaccination certificate.

Upon arriving at the airport, passengers might undergo random testing. Children under five don’t need pre or post-testing.

2. Oman

Present a compulsory vaccination certificate to prove the two doses for entering Oman. A negative PCR test certificate. Depending on the flight timings, the PCR test should be less than 96 hrs if foreign flights.

In the case of flights of less than 8 hrs, the PCR test should be less than 72 hrs. They removed Covid 19 testing requirements for passengers under the age of eighteen.

3. Bangladesh

Irrespective of immunisation status, all travellers must provide a negative PCR test at check-in and on arrival. The test must be of 48 hours after departure. On presenting proof of complete vaccination, passengers can skip quarantine rules.

Partially or unvaccinated travellers can enter the nation but have to undergo 14 days quarantine. Exemption for children under the age of 12.

4. Pakistan

Vaccinated travellers can avoid PCR testing. Unvaccinated individuals need to present negative PCR tests done no more than 72 hours pre-departure. Pakistan has similar to other countries have dropped quarantine rules
Children between 12-18 12 to 18 can travel to Pakistan without immunisation until March 31, 2022. Kids under 12 are free from vaccines or testing.

5. The United Kingdom

Fully vaccinated passengers belonging to non-red zones don’t need PCR testing. The ones from the red zone region despite their vaccine status should present a negative PCR test. The results should be less than 48 hrs.

Partially, Unvaccinated or the ones with unrecognized vaccines need to undergo the COVID19 test two days before travel.
