Airbnb Viral Clip Shows Half-Eaten Food & Mess Left Behind By Guests In India

When we plan a vacation with our friends or family, most people opt for Airbnb properties. While booking, they ask about everything, from cleanliness and how often the property is cleaned to food and the surroundings. But while leaving, do the same people care about how carelessly or how dirty they leave the space? Here’s what it’s all about!

Viral Video Shows Mess Left Behind In Airbnb Properties

Taking to his X handle, Siddharth Echelon (@SiddharthKG7) shared a video showing how one of Airbnb’s properties was left behind after guests left. In the video, an Airbnb host was seen looking at the property in shock. Why? The place was completely messed up with half-eaten food, drink cans, broken charger plugs, and dirty floors; every space in the property was in a messy condition.

In the video, the host said it took her time to figure out how to clean the property. However, after some time, with the help of a helper, she started cleaning the space. They had to scrub the floor 3 to 4 times to make sure it was shining like before. The video was posted with the caption, “She shares how guests leave her property and how most Indians consider Airbnb as just a party place and leave an unbelievable mess sometimes. ‘We are paying cleaning charges na’. True. I judge people on how they leave hotel rooms too. Why? Because a robot won’t clean up behind you. It will be a human being with dignity who should not be the one picking up your filth behind you. At least dispose of what you can responsibly.”

Here’s How Netizens Reacted

This video has gone all over social media, and many people are reacting to it.

One user wrote, “But why do the same people go to Dubai and London and behave nicely? The only thing we Indians are scared of is law and order. Here we know we can pay off the police or court.”

Another comment read, “Indian people are the most uncivilised people, they will pay 1K but do damage worth more than what they pay. And she also had a sofa and bedsheets placed for such unruly Indians, sofa stains and property damage—they are not worth Airbnb. Just keep one chair and table for such idiots.”

One netizen added, “I have a friend couple who do the same thing, and I once pointed it out. Rather than listening, they said, ‘Oh please, we pay the cleaning fee,’ lol.”
