A massive fire broke out at a warehouse of Blue Leaf Signage Industry in Bengaluru’s Nandini Layout on Sunday night. The blaze spread rapidly, damaging eight residential buildings, including a four-storey women’s paying guest (PG) accommodation. Around 50 occupants were forced to jump from the burning building to save their lives.
50 Women Evacuated To Safety From PG Building In Bengaluru
According to Deccan Herald, the fire broke out around 12:50 am near the Dr Rajkumar Memorial at a warehouse storing banners and LED screens for distribution. Preliminary reports suggest an electrical short circuit may have caused the blaze.
The fire spread within minutes, engulfing a women’s PG building and adjoining houses. Around 50 women staying in the PG were safely evacuated, and no casualties were reported. Two vehicles, including a two-wheeler parked outside the warehouse, were completely damaged.

Visuals of the Bengaluru PG fire have gone viral on social media, capturing the panic as women scrambled to escape. According to NDTV, several women were forced to jump from the burning building as there was no other way out. Authorities said the swift evacuation helped prevent a far more serious tragedy.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot with two fire tenders and brought the blaze under control after nearly two-and-a-half hours. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
The incident has once again put the spotlight on fire safety lapses in PG accommodations across Bengaluru, especially in crowded neighbourhoods where such facilities often function close to commercial units.
