Deepika Padukone rang in her 40th birthday on January 5 in New York with husband Ranveer Singh. The couple has been holidaying in the Big Apple and was also spotted enjoying an NBA game together. For her birthday, they chose the comfort of Indian food and celebrated the occasion at an Indian vegetarian restaurant.

Making the most of their vacation, the couple has been enjoying some much-needed time together in New York. While the city boasts a wide range of restaurants serving global cuisine, they chose to indulge in Indian food instead. To mark her 40th birthday, Deepika Padukone enjoyed a delectable Indian vegetarian meal at Annapurna Bhavan with Ranveer Singh.

The restaurant took to their official Instagram account to share a picture of the duo with their staff. They also shared a picture of their food menu signed by both the film stars. “DeepVeer at Annapurna Bhavan! It was a pleasure serving Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh today. Chef Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow has now become a go-to destination for celebrities visiting New York, and the couple couldn’t miss out on the experience. A few days before visiting Annapurna Bhavan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh headed to the famed New York City restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal.

While they were there, the couple also made modaks with Chef Khanna. He took to Instagram to share a video where the trio was seen making modaks together. They also prepared pomegranate and cardamom modaks together, which happened to be the special on the menu that day. Chef Vikas was seen feeding Ranveer and Deepika the modaks and the couple truly seemed to relish the sweet dumplings.
