There are many new updates coming in from the GCC region that can be quite difficult to keep up with. From Jeddah to Dubai, here’s a list of some important updates from across the GCC region that might have slipped your eye today.

GCC Updates

1. Terra Study Hub Opens At Expo City

Terra in Expo City is offering something called the study hub. This is open on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 3 PM. For children aged six and above, it is a calm environment and a supervised space where they can work through distance learning along with peers. As it happens, it is priced AED139 per day or AED600 for the week.

2. Dubai RTA Upgrades 5 Marine Transport Stations

Five marine transport stations have now been upgraded in Dubai. Yes, these bring air conditioning, digital amenities and improved access to the stations. The RTA, in its second phase of the marine station, has upgraded the stations at Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Fahidi, Bluewaters, Baniyas, and Al Seef.

3. FLYADEAL To Launch Flights From Jeddah To Dubai

FLYADEAL, which is the budget airline in Saudi Arabia, recently announced the launch of scheduled flights between Jeddah and Dubai. The services will begin from April 15th, expanding operations. Further, this would strengthen the connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. With the new Jeddah route, this is an important expansion of the airline’s presence in the UAE’s largest city.

4. Rain, Mist And Rough Seas Predicted For The UAE

As predicted by the NCM, the UAE is expected to see fair to partly cloudy skies. There could also be chances of light rainfall today. With light to moderate North-westerly to South-westerly winds expected, the seas are also expected to be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.

5. 150-Year-Old Mosque In Qassim Is A Testament To Najdi Architecture

Al-Mutawiah Historic Mosque is in Riyadh’s Al-Khabra Governorate of the Qassim region. And it’s considered to be one of the religious heritage landmarks, which reflects the architectural and civilizational depth of the place. This reopening forms a part of the old town development project.
