A Walt Disney World resort guest has filed a lawsuit seeking $50,000 (over ₹47 lakh) against the company after he allegedly suffered permanent pain and suffering from bed bugs in his room. Disney World Resort In Florida Faces A Lawsuit
A Walt Disney World guest staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort in Florida, David Besse, is seeking damages of over $50,000 (over ₹47 lakh). According to People Magazine, the guest has alleged that he suffered physical and mental harm, along with financial losses, after being bitten multiple times by bed bugs while staying at the hotel.
Not just that, David has also accused the resort of failing to properly train its maintenance and housekeeping staff to carry out regular room inspections. According to People Magazine, he also alleged that the property failed to use insecticidal dust in hallways and rooms. He has claimed that he suffered bodily injuries, pain, suffering and mental anguish, along with medical expenses.

Resort Known As A Budget Option For Disney Fans
According to People Magazine, the lawsuit is seeking damages and has requested a trial by jury. It should be noted that Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is located near Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. It is considered a good, budget-friendly option for visitors who want Disney perks without spending too much. The hotel is often recommended for those who prefer lower-cost stays over more luxurious resorts by Walt Disney World.
Coming to bed bugs, they are not considered dangerous in terms of spreading diseases. However, they can still be a health concern, causing itching and allergic skin reactions. Disney has not responded to this bed bug incident at the Florida resort so far.
