Dating has become riskier these days. You never know the true intentions of the person you are meeting for coffee or dinner. This is exactly what happened in Hong Kong. As per a report by Hindustan Times, a 23-year-old man from Hong Kong pretended to be a lawyer and tricked a woman. According to the report filed by the woman, she met this man through the messaging app Telegram a year ago. The man introduced himself as a lawyer and arranged a dinner date at the Man Wah restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Central.

During the date, both of them ordered a bottle of Krug Clos d’Ambonnay Champagne worth more than HK$70,000(over ₹7 lakhs approx.) along with premium set dinners priced at HK$2,388(over ₹2 lakhs approx.) each. The lavish dinner also included tea and service charges. By the end, the total bill came up to HK$84,453 (over ₹9 lakhs approx).
