President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, took part in religious ceremonies at Mathura and Vrindavan. Along with offering prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, she also visited Prem Mandir in Vrindavan, known for its breathtaking architecture and carvings depicting Lord Krishna and Radha’s life.

Breathtaking Prem Mandir In Vrindavan 

According to News On AIR, as part of her three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, President Droupadi Murmu offered prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir and participated in the Shri Ram Yantra Sthapana event. After that, she also visited the ISKCON Temple Vrindavan and Prem Mandir in Vrindavan. Though we have talked about Ram Mandir and Vrindavan a lot in the past, we haven’t really spoken about Prem Mandir.

This temple, located in Vrindavan in Mathura district, is spread across a 55-acre site on the outskirts of the city. The mandir is dedicated to Radha Krishna, Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Prem Mandir is known for its beautiful white Italian marble architecture and intricate carvings. These beautiful carvings depict Radha Krishna’s life and their divine love.

Musical Fountain Shows And Light Displays 

Trust us when we tell you that it is one of the most magnificent temples in the region. Apart from the stunning architecture, it is also famous for its musical fountain shows that happen in the evenings, leaving devotees mesmerised. The temple is illuminated with colour-changing lights at night that look no less than a visual delight.

The temple also has gardens, statues, and features 84 panels depicting the loving pastimes of Shri Krishna. Along the circumambulation path, 48 panels show the pastimes of Radha Krishna. These sets of panels are not just amazing architectural storytelling but also highlight devotion associated with Radha Krishna. The temple is a gift from the great Rasik saint, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, to Shri Vrindavan Dham.
