Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is known for always blending in with the communities around her. A member of the British royal family recently visited Leicester, UK. She spent the day with the British Indian community and even celebrated their culture and heritage. The visit came shortly after the festival of Holi. According to Hindustan Times, the Princess of Wales interacted with members of the local communities and even visited their local landmarks.

She made a stop at an Indian restaurant called ‘Golden Mile’, where she not only enjoyed Indian snacks but also talked with the owners there. A selection of sweet and savoury snacks was presented for the princess, including pakoras! The video posted by @royalstoryuk on Instagram is going viral, where Kate assures the owner that she is okay with spice before trying the snacks. She also added that she “loves coriander and chilli”

Kate Middleton not just enjoyed Indian snacks this Holi but also broke a major British protocol. Yes, you read that right. She joined the Garba dance at Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu Temple. She removed her footwear to respect the temple customs. The video posted by Anip Patel on Instagram shows the Princess of Wales slowly swaying with the other women on Garba beats. And clearly, she is enjoying the dance!

Netizens, too, were quite happy with the kind nature of Kate Middleton. One of them wrote, “She is pure elegance.” Another talked about her food preferences and commented, “She is a sweetheart. She mentioned several times that she eats curries and spices.” Honestly, the Princess of Wales loving Indian food and joining the Garba dance was something unexpected. According to Hindustan Times, she also thanked the organisers and community members for welcoming her.
