Hollywood actor Selma Blair has been taken into custody following an alleged altercation aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York. The incident reportedly left two flight attendants injured, with the actor also facing separate assault allegations involving a police officer and a nurse after the plane landed.
Selma Blair Accused Of Assaulting Flight Attendants On Delta Flight
According to reports by The Associated Press and The Indian Express, authorities responded to the ordeal after the flight arrived at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport late on Sunday, October 11. Selma Blair was subsequently taken to a hospital for evaluation.
According to authorities, the incident took place aboard a Delta flight travelling from Los Angeles International Airport to New York. The Port Authority Police Department responded after the aircraft arrived at JFK Airport.
Reports state that two flight attendants sustained injuries during the alleged altercation. One reportedly suffered a laceration, while the other sustained a bite injury. The actress was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation.
The situation allegedly continued after the flight landed. Selma is accused of assaulting a Port Authority police officer while being transported in an ambulance and a nurse at the hospital. She subsequently faced two state assault charges in connection with those allegations.
FBI Summons Cruel Intentions Actress
As per reports, the FBI has also issued Selma Blair a summons over alleged assaults aboard the aircraft. According to reports, the federal case will be handled by the petty violations court in Brooklyn, and no date for her appearance has been announced as of now.
Following the incident, a representative for the actress said that she had experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. She received medical attention after landing and was reported to be in stable condition.
Delta Air Lines also issued a statement reiterating its stance on passenger safety, saying it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behaviour and that the safety of its passengers and crew remains a priority.

It is worth noting that the actress was also involved in an in-flight incident in 2016, following which she apologised publicly. At the time, she said she had mixed alcohol with medication, causing her to black out and behave in a way she regretted.
