UAE: Speeding Up Hiring, MoHRE Adds 13 Categories Of Work Permits; Details Inside

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation recently announced the launch of a new phase. This is in the development of work permit services and is being done by simplifying requirements, expanding digital channels and designing service procedures. The aim is to accelerate transaction processing, strengthen efficiency, and enhance customer experience. All of this is being done under the UAE labour market, and here’s all you need to know about it.

Electronic Public Consultation Period Running Until July 30th

As stated on the official website of the ministry, it has opened an electronic public consultation period, which is running until July 30th. There, it is receiving suggestions and feedback from customers and members of the public. These suggestions are regarding existing work permit services and potential improvements as revealed by the Gulf News. Not to mention, they would particularly focus on redesigning the work permit issuance procedures and reducing the administrative requirements.

Approval To Proceed With Enhancement Of Work Permit Services

It should be noted that the outcome expected out of this electronic consultation is approval to proceed with the enhancement of work permit service procedures. This would be in line with the approved approach of the UAE. It would result in faster transaction completion and improve customer satisfaction. The ministry has introduced a comprehensive overhaul of work permit services. It is a part of the government bureaucracy programme and would eliminate the requirement for supporting documents by 100 per cent.

Work Permit Services Are Being Made Through Unified Digital Platforms

Work permit services are being made available through unified digital platforms. In turn, these would allow employers and customers to access a number of services and to complete them online seamlessly.

It should be noted that the ministry issues 13 types of work permits. So establishments that are registered with the MoHRE can obtain these permits for the employees. These would be according to the nature and requirements of their jobs.

So, with unified platforms and the launch of upgraded UAE work permits, the hiring process in the UAE is bound to gain speed
