Vikas Khanna Builds A Small Lord Jagannath Chariot In His Bungalow Restaurant
Chef Vikas Khanna took to his social media handle to give a glimpse of the chariot that he and his team prepared at his New York restaurant, Bungalow. In the clip, we can see Mysha decorating the chariot. The small chariot is adorned with a red chunari, and an idol of Lord Jagannath is placed on top of it.
The team further decorated the chariot and lit diyas in front of the idol as a mark of devotion. The area around the chariot was decorated with sunflowers and roses. The chariot was placed just outside the restaurant, allowing visitors and passersby to stop and seek blessings.

Inside Bungalow’s Lord Jagannath Celebration
For this auspicious celebration, Vikas Khanna also prepared a special sweet inspired by Kanika Bhata. Kanika Bhata is a delicious sweet rice dish from Odisha that is full of flavour and aroma. Made with ghee, sugar or jaggery, fragrant spices, and crunchy dry fruits, this golden-coloured rice is often prepared during festivals and special occasions. This sweet was served as a welcome treat.
The celebration also featured beautiful Odia dance performances. Vikas Khanna organised the celebration to honour the rich traditions, culture, and timeless spirit of Rath Yatra.
