Brazil Now Offers Permanent Residency To Indians

Brazil is now offering permanent residency to foreigners who wish to live and study in the country. To support this, the government has introduced a permanent residency (PR) policy, and Indians are also eligible to apply. There are several ways to obtain PR, including investing in Brazilian real estate or a local business. Additionally, workers with a job offer can apply for a temporary visa, which can later be converted to PR, reported NDTV.
Marrying a Brazilian or having a Brazilian child also makes you eligible. Retired foreigners with a temporary visa can convert it to a PR after two years. Since 2024, graduates from accredited Brazilian colleges with local employment can obtain a two-year permit and then apply for PR.
