An Air India flight was recently forced to land back at the airport from where it took off barely a couple of hours earlier. This happened on a flight headed to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates or the UAE from Trivandrum, the state capital of Kerala.

The incident took place on the 23rd of July, Sunday in the afternoon. The flight took off at 1:19 pm. However, instead of going to Dubai, as it was scheduled, it landed back at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

According to an article recently published by India Today, it was because this particular plane had some technical problems with its air conditioning system. The flight was numbered IX-539 and it managed to safely land back at the airport around 3:52 PM.

The flight then departed for Dubai around 6 o’clock in the evening. The article also said that it would arrive in Dubai around 10:45 PM, Gulf Standard Time. Glitches and incidents in flights are common news these days.

Recently, in one of the more bizarre incidents, a lady threw a fit on a flight and deboarded it because she claimed that a passenger sitting in the back was not real.
