The police have taken the matter very seriously and have launched a thorough investigation. This includes a planned inspection of the facility where the ice cream, manufactured by Yummo company, was produced and packaged.

Police confirmed they are investigating the incident thoroughly. They revealed the doctor who made the complaint lives in Malad West and had purchased a butterscotch ice cream cone from Yummo online. Disturbingly, while eating the ice cream, he found a piece of flesh about half an inch long with a nail in it. Authorities have sent the object for forensic testing to confirm if it is indeed a human finger.
