Mumbai’s Gudi Padwa Shobha Yatra 2023
On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, many traditional processions were carried out today to celebrate this festival. Mumbai’s Gudi Padwa Shobha Yatra 2023 every year is the most attractive of all. Women were spotted draped in Maharashtra’s traditional Nauvari (nine-yard) saree, riding Royal Enfield with traditional turbans on their heads. They also wore traditional nose pins and jewellery.
The sight was simply breathtaking, as the processions also had the traditional dhol-tasha. The people who play this are seen in the traditional kurta, pyjama, and turban, known as the Phetha.

Rituals On Gudi Padwa
On this occasion, people take a ceremonial bath before starting their day by praying to God. Earthen lamps, rangolis, and garlands have been used to beautify the house after it has been well cleansed. Considering that it is the start of a new year, many also wear new clothing.
The lovely gudis are one item that can be noticed from practically every window on Gudi Padwa. On the right side of the street, people raise gudis.
