UAE Becomes Leading Country In The Middle East For Remote Working

Work from home, which once was a luxury, became a necessity in 2020 thanks to the covid-19 pandemic. Our home became our offices, and remote working became a thing for everyone across the globe. Having lunch with colleagues, waiting for the coffee break, and getting ready for work has now taken a back seat. While every country is going through its share of remote working, the UAE has topped the list in the middle east for that as well. According to research by cloud-based communications company Circle Loop, the UAE is the leading country in the Middle East for remote working. Read on to know more about this.

The UAE Has Beaten Countries Like Japan, Italy, Hong Kong On The List 

The UAE has ranked ahead of countries including Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Russia, the United States and China. The Digital Nomad Index analysed and ranked the countries while keeping several factors in place. Factors like the fixed broadband speed, mobile internet speed, working holiday visas, acceptance of migrants, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment and the World Happiness Score were considered before finalising the list.

On each of these factors, the countries were ranked out of 100. The countries were given an average score to determine the leading destinations for remote working. The UAE was ranked first in the Middle East for its readiness to facilitate remote working and 31st globally.

The Country Bagged Second Place For Having Cheap And Reliable Internet Connections

Besides this, the country also bagged the second place for having cheap and reliable internet connections, helping the population to stay connected, ranking behind Singapore. The study also reveals that the average mobile internet speed in the country ranges from 129.62 Mbps to 898.35 Mbps, respectively.
