UAE Eases COVID-19 Restrictions
The epidemiological situation of the country was thoroughly monitored and studied. The occupancy rates in the centres and hospitals were noted which showed that the cases have dipped down to less than 300. The new relaxations will be effective from 7th November.
Masks will be optional in both open and closed settings. This applies even to mosques and other places of worship. The only place where masks will be mandatory is health facilities and centres. Using personal mats for praying will also be optional in all the praying facilities and mosques.

However, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) mentioned that the isolation period for all people who tested positive will remain unchanged.
People who test COVID positive have to be isolated for 5 days and the COVID-19 PCR testing will be continued. The Health Centres and other special facilities will also continue their operations. Based on the type of sports activity, some sporting events might need the participants to undergo pre-examinations or certifications.
