1. New Railway Service In Abu Dhabi

It was recently announced that there will soon be rail service between Abu Dhabi city and Al Dhannah in Al Dhafra. This comes after an agreement was signed between Etihad Rail, who is the developer & operator of the UAE National Rail Network, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. It should be noted that it will be located about 250-km West of Abu Dhabi.

2. Indian PM Narendra Modi arrives In Dubai

Indian PM Narendra Modi has arrived in Dubai for the ongoing COP28. As it happens, he was received warmly at the airport, when he descended from the Airplane. As it happens, he also met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and the Vice President of the UAE.

3. ADAFSA Launches Food Loss & Waste Reduction Strategy

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority recently launched an integrated food loss and waste (FLW) reduction strategy. Not to mention, this strategy is aligned with the UAE National Food Loss and Waste Initiative, ne’ma. It should be noted that the strategy includes many initiatives and programmes that aim towards changing behaviours regarding food production and consumption. The aim is also to update agriculture and food safety legislation!

4. Ruler Of Umm Al Quwain Observes Commemoration Day Ceremony

His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, who is the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain observed the Commemoration Day ceremony at Wahat Al Karama. He first laid a wreath of flowers on Wahat Al Karama’s Memorial, after which 21 rounds of artillery were fired in honour of the fallen heroes.  Yes, he was seen paying tribute to the fallen heroes of the UAE. And the members of their families were also awarded Martyr’s Medal.

5. King Charles III Arrives In Dubai For COP28

King Charles III arrived in Dubai for the ongoing COP28 UAE. He was greeted by the Vice President of UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan, the President of Abu Dhabi. As it happens, King Charles III also delivered an address on the opening ceremony of the event. During his speech, he was seen stressing on the need to repair the environment if one doesn’t wish to see any dreadful consequences.
