His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council presented Danish golfer Nicolai Hojgaard, the top honours at the 15th edition of the DP World Tour Championship. As it happens, it also marked the culmination of the Race to Dubai season and the Rolex series. The event concluded on Sunday at Jumeirah Golf Estates. As it happens, it also saw the participation of the top 50 players who were competing to win a prize worth $10 million.
2. We Walk 2023 Drew Hundreds Of People On November 18
We Walk 2023, which was held at Dubai Science Park witnessed hundreds of people walking together to raise awareness and funds for children with autism. As it happens, the walk happened on November 18, Saturday, which saw many people participating in the event. As such, this event was supported by the Dubai Sports Council and the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department. The development comes after the previous year’s event also drew massive crowds of people working in support of people who fall in this spectrum.
3. UAE & 55 Other Countries Allowed To Travel Visa-Free To China
UAE and Qatar are on the list of 54 countries that are allowed to travel visa-free to China. This development comes in light of the fact that now Norway is the latest addition to the list of countries. Yes, the country has extended its 72-hour and 144-hour visa-free transit policies to the people of 54 nations and these also include 40 in Europe, six in Asia, and four in South America.
4. Art Festival Of Ras Al Khaimah Rebranded

The popular art festival in Ras Al Khaimah has now been renamed as Ras Al Khaimah Art. With the rebranding of the name and logo, there also comes a launch of new initiatives. Yes, these have been set in place to empower emerging creatives and the community through art projects. So basically now it will see a number of events that will be taking place throughout the year. This will include everything from masterclasses and workshops to even grants for emerging talent. As it happens, the first art exhibition has already begun at the Sunken Garden at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre. It will be running till the month of December and is one of the many initiatives by the Ras Al Khaimah Art.
5. There Might Be Fine On Household Food Wastage
Recently, it was announced that UAE officials are considering implementing a fine on the level of food waste in a household. Yes, this is being considered for a more responsible consumption! This development comes after it was revealed that food worth AED6 billion is wasted in the Emirates annually. This means that every person in the UAE wastes about two 224 KG of food every year! So, with this move, the wastage of food is expected to go down.
