UAE Weather: Fog Warning Issued In Dubai And Abu Dhabi

UAE summer is officially here and how! The soaring temperature has got residents talking about the summer and now, weathermen have revealed that humidity levels will also see a drastic increase. Although residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi woke up to a foggy Sunday, doesn’t look like the temperatures are ready to show any mercy on us.

What’s It?

Dubai summer is here in full swing! With temperatures soaring up to 45 degrees, little can we ignore the harsh wave of heat when we step out. But that’s not it!

The National Centre of Meteorology has warned that humidity levels could reach up to 90 percent, with the highest expected today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dubai and Abu Dhabi woke up to a foggy Sunday. While the weather is reported to remain warm, the National Centre of Meteorology also warned that there could be chances of fog in the morning hours.

Temperature will touch a high of 42 degrees by afternoon, accompanied by humidity. However, the NCM has warned that visibility might reduce to less than 1000 metres in coastal areas.

What Else?

Meanwhile, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia recorded the highest temperature ever on earth. The numbers are freaky! Kuwait touched 52.2 degrees Celsius. The condition worsened as the temperature hit an abnormal 63 degrees Celsius later during the day.

Residents in Saudi experienced a heat wave of 55 degrees Celsius. Further, the heat wave is expected to persist through the summer in the coming months. Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE, have also been struck by the hear wave and residents in these countries have been warned to take extra precautions.

Meteorologists have also warned Kuwait of a high-risk summer this year, with temperatures reaching 68 degrees. Meanwhile, UAE’s weather is likely to hit a maximum of 48 degrees in some parts. Temperature in Abu Dhabi will reach 41 degrees Celcius, 42 degrees in Dubai and 43 degrees in Sharjah.
