Taking to the X (formerly Twitter), Rishi Sunak shared how the government is taking radical action to bring down the high immigration. The new steps and visa rules move will ensure “that immigration always benefits the UK.”

The UK Prime Minister shared how the set of UK visa rules will not only decrease the number of immigrants but also always become an advantage for the nation. The immigration action is as follows:
- Banning overseas students from bringing their family members to the United Kingdom unless the students are pursuing postgraduate research degrees.
- One of the tough UK visa rules is to stop immigration by undercutting British workers.
- Lastly, it is about scrapping off the “20 per cent going rate salary discounts offered for shortage occupations”.
The UK Home Office recently stated how the stricter set of visa rules can impact a huge number of foreign people entering the United Kingdom. According to the UK Home Office, this new set of measures will affect about 3,00,000 people from international countries, as reported by the Hindustan Times. These people will not be able to be in the United Kingdom with the new UK visa rules coming into action.
Taking to another social media post, Rishi Sunak shared how the government “announced the biggest ever cut in net migration”. He further added, “No Prime Minister has done this before in the history”. The UK Prime Minister is focused and determined to change the high migration levels in the country.

How Will The New UK Visa Rules Affect People?
Without a doubt, the tough move will be impacting a massive number of people. Many will face obstacles and issues to enter the United Kingdom. In fact, many will not be permitted to enter the UK with the recent changes and announcements. James Cleverly, the UK Home Secretary, recently made the announcement that medical practitioners and medical students having Health and Care visas cannot bring their families to the country anymore. The salary threshold for overseas workers will rise too. From £26,200 it will see a spike to to £38,700.
It is expected that such changes can help the government to see a drop of almost 3,00,000 foreign people arriving in the United Kingdom.
