After A Week of Unstable Weather, More Rains Expected In The UAE? Here’s What Weather Prediction Says

The previous week in the UAE saw a period of unstable weather. These weather conditions were accompanied by strong winds, rainfall of varying intensities and hail. And now, according to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomical Society and a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, a period of unstable weather could affect parts of the UAE and Qatar from Monday evening through Wednesday.

What Is The Weather Predicted For The UAE?

According to the latest weather predictions, the system could bring cloud formation, and there could be chances of rainfall across the UAE. It is expected that the strongest impact might be felt in Oman, as revealed in a report of Gulf News. This development comes as the current period falls in the ‘Sarayat’ season, as known locally. It is the transitional spring phase, which is known for fast-developing weather instability. This period typically sees the formation of convection clouds, which are sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, rainfall, and even hail.

What Weather Has Been Predicted For Oman?

Not just the UAE, but Oman is preparing for thunderstorms. There are also chances of possible flash floods, which could occur between March 31st and April 2nd. This is after the national meteorological authorities, as revealed in another report of Gulf News, have warned of unstable weather conditions, which could affect several governorates.

According to the Oman Meteorology, there is a low-pressure trough, which is expected to move across the sultanate. This will be from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning, and it is expected to bring scattered rain of varying intensities. As it happens, authorities have also been warned of possible flash flooding in wadis and low-lying areas.
