As revealed by the NCM, the month of May happens to be a part of the spring transitional period. During this period, the sun continues its apparent Northward movement from the equator. And so this results in longer daylight across the Northern hemisphere. Moreover, this also contributes towards seasonal shift, which results in a steady increase in temperatures across most parts of the country over the course of the month.

As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, authorities have also said that this change reflects typical climatic patterns. With the UAE moving closer to the summer season, warmer conditions happen to be more pronounced.
NCM further mentions that the UAE is mostly set for fair weather for the week. There could be fluctuating temperatures, human conditions and occasional dust.

Coming to Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom is expected to face continued thunderstorms. Strong winds and unstable weather conditions may occur across most of the regions until May 8th. As revealed by the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the public has been urged to remain in safe locations. They’ve also been asked to avoid flood-prone valleys and areas where water accumulation happens.
People have also been asked to refrain from swimming in them and adhere to official safety instructions that would be issued via media and social media platforms. For instance, in Mecca, there is a prediction for moderate to heavy rainfall. While in the Riyadh region, it is expected that there could be light to moderate rain with the risk of flooding.
So, people living in Saudi Arabia must stay updated about the latest weather from the official channels and keep the updates in mind before they step out.
