Another train has run into issues recently. The Kisan Express train decoupled in the Bijnor district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Officials are currently trying to resolve the issue. Pictures and videos of the decoupled trains are making rounds on the Internet and many are upset over yet another train mishap. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this train decoupling in UP.

UP: Kisan Express Train Decouples In The Bijnor District

According to an article which was recently published by NewsPlus21, this incident took place in the wee hours of August 25, 2024. The train was heading from Old Delhi Junction to Bhatinda Junction. Around 4 AM, when the train reached Syohara railway station, one of the AC Compartments decoupled.

If reports are to go by, there were no injuries or loss of lives in this mishap, fortunately. Railway and Police officials were notified and they soon arrived at the site of the accident. They examined the train, reattached the compartments and the train service was resumed shortly after.

The reason for its decoupling is still unknown as of yet. However, it should be noted that authorities have launched an investigation into this matter.

Many Students Appearing For An Important Exam Delayed

Apart from creating panic among travellers, this incident was also inconvenient for other reasons. Reportedly, there were a number of students on the train who were travelling for the UP Police Recruitment Exam. These students were delayed significantly owing to this decoupling incident.

Many people took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share pictures and videos of the incident. This isn’t the first time that an Indian Railways train has run into such issues and accidents. Many people expressed their disappointment over the incident.
