According to his post on Instagram, cayenne pepper contains capsaicin, a compound that is known for its pain-relieving properties. Wait, that’s not all. In his post, Dr. Jeff Winternheimer explained other ways which hot sauce helps your back pain. The cayenne pepper in hot sauce has been found to possess anti-inflammatory properties. Now, inflammation is one of the most common culprits in many cases of back pain. It tends to put pressure on the nerves and contribute to discomfort. Therefore, by reducing inflammation, cayenne pepper in the hot sauce can help alleviate back pain and promote healing in the affected area.

Also, cayenne pepper can help increase blood flow. With improved blood circulation, it becomes easier for the body to deliver essential nutrients and oxygen to the muscles and tissues in the back. This way it can help promote healing and reduce stiffness.
