USA Ranks First On The ‘Countries With Maximum Indian Population’ List

The United States boasts the highest population of Indians outside India with more than 4.4 million people of the Indian community living there. From NRIs to students visiting there for higher studies to working professionals, this international country made it to the first rank on this list by opening its doors to eligible individuals from India throughout the year.
The United States has been followed by the United Arab Emirates. More than 3.5 Indian people are currently living in the United Arab Emirates. Over the past years, the number of Indians shifting in this country in the Middle East has increased quite significantly. Malaysia has opened its doors to many Indians and now it is home to over 2.8 million Indian population. The Indian community has emerged to be important for this country with noticeable contributions to different sectors such as education and commerce, according to a report by The Times of India.

The next two countries in the fourth and fifth positions on the list of countries with the maximum Indian population are Saudi Arabia and Myanmar. Here’s the top 10 list and the Indian diaspora residing there.

- United Arab Emirates: 3,425,144
- Malaysia: 2,987,950
- Saudi Arabia: 2,594,947
- Myanmar: 2,009,207
- United Kingdom: 1,764,000
- Canada: 1,689,055
- South Africa: 1,560,000
- Mauritius: 894,500
- Singapore: 650,000
