Woman Kneads Dough And Makes Pasta 35,000-Ft High On A Flight; Netizens Ask, “How Did You Cook It?”

A video is now going viral showing a passenger making pasta from scratch on a flight. A woman demonstrates how easy it is to prepare dough and shape pasta mid-air. While the idea is surely creative, it hasn’t gone well with many and has left the internet divided. Here’s why.

Content Creator Makes Pasta On A Flight

Making pasta is one thing, but making it from scratch is tough, especially on a flight! Yet, content creator Katie Brooks from San Diego is now going viral for doing just that. Katie Brooks, who goes by the Instagram handle @buonapastaclub, is often seen sharing creative pasta recipes. But this time, she took things to another level by preparing pasta from scratch at 35,000 feet!

She uploaded a video with the text: “POV: You hate airplane food, so you make it yourself.” She also wrote a caption saying, “Anyone else?! Since everyone’s going CRAZY over this video. Just trying to show that pasta making is so easy, you can do it on an airplane!”  In the clip, Katie is seen combining flour and water in a bowl, kneading it into dough, cutting it into long strips and shaping them into gnocchi pasta. The video ends with her showing the pasta served on a plate.

Internet Reacts With Mixed Opinions

Like many viral videos, this one also sparked mixed reactions online. Several Instagram users criticised the idea. One user pointed out, “As a mom of a child with anaphylactic allergy to wheat, I’m shocked. Please don’t do this in an airplane where people are contained in a small vessel, air is circulated, and the nearest hospital is hours away.” Some even raised hygiene concerns, writing, “There’s nothing you could say to convince me your hands were clean enough to accomplish this task in an even remotely sanitary way in this environment.”

One user also wrote, “The airplane is so dirty, please don’t consume that.” One user also asked the question we have all been wondering: “How did you cook it?”

On the other hand, many praised her creativity. Comments included, “This is incredible”, and “Some do it for the views. Some do it to show you how easy it can be. You did it for both. I love it.” One user joked, “Umm, the better question is how you got through TSA with white powder?” pointing at the flour she used.
