With the precise aim of amending this fact, the Chief Minister or CM of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has launched new air routes. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about these new air routes.

Uttarakhand CM Launches New Air Routes For Remote Regions

According to an article which was recently published by The Financial Express or FE, the announcement was made on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The air routes launched are for helicopter services. These services will help in connecting the remote parts of Uttarakhand.

The services are from Sahastradhara in Dehradun to Joshiyara in Uttarkashi and to Gauchar in Chamoli. There will also be an air service from the National Capital of the country, Delhi to Pithoragarh. These services are being launched under the Uttarakhand Air Connecity scheme.

In addition to these services, Uttarakhand is also getting as many as 18 heliports under the UDAN or Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik Scheme. Ten of these have already been launched in locations like Almora, Champawat, Haldwani, Srinagar, Munsiyari, Pithoragarh, and Pantnagar,
