Good news everyone! We now have a direct railway connection between Nainital in Uttarakhand and Mumbai in Maharashtra via the Lal Kuan-Bandra superfast train. This connection will be incredibly beneficial, not just for tourists but also for pilgrims who embark on religious expeditions. The route was much needed as per officials. From route to travel time, here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this new train service launched by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand recently.
Lal Kuan-Bandra Superfast Train: All You Need To Know
According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, this particular new service was inaugurated on Monday, October 21, 2024. The service was flagged off by the CM of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami in a virtual meet.
The train service not only provides a direct connection between Mumbai and Uttarakhand, but it also connects the financial capital of the country to a number of religious sites that are on the way. It is said to give a major boost to religious tourism in the state.
Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Kota, Mathura, Moradabad, Rampur, Surat and Vadodara are among the regions that the train will connect. The CM also went on to say that the state is currently planning a number of other railway lines as well.
You Can Travel Between Mumbai And Uttarakhand Directly
As of now, there are three trains operating weekly from Ramnagar and Haldwani as well as Lal Kuan to Mumbai. This newly launched train is numbered 22544 and departs from Lal Kuan station at 7:45 AM.
The train reaches the Bandra region of Mumbai on the following day at 8:30 AM. From there, it departs at 11 AM and reaches Lal Kuan at 1:15 PM on the following day. This new train service has been widely anticipated and much needed.
