Ditching the luxury of staying with family and loved ones, many people leave their houses and get positioned at borders to protect India and Indians. Uttarakhand is one such Indian state from where many young men and women join the Indian army. On this episode of Sunday Brunch, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami talked about the state’s contributions to our nation.

Pushkar Singh Dhami Wanted To Join The Indian Army

In an insightful conversation with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami walked down memory lane and shared his initial plans to become a soldier and serve the country. On this Sunday Brunch episode, he appreciated residents of this state and their enthusiasm to work hard and be a part of the Indian army.

Did you know Pushkar Singh Dhami’s father was also in the army? One of his life’s biggest values was leading a disciplined life. Interestingly, the chief minister did not initially plan to join politics. Instead, he dreamt of becoming an Indian soldier and even started preparing. Running fast is an integral part of getting into this prestigious profession and he began training for this too. However, his parents stopped him as he was alone in his family.

They wanted Mr. Dhami to stay close and do any other work. His patriotism and love for his country motivated him to become a politician and contribute to the society. He feels he is fulfilling his responsibilities and following his duty as a politician like a soldier who works on the borders.
