Vaccinated Government Employees In Abu Dhabi To Take Covid-19 Tests Monthly

Abu Dhabi has updated its rules for government employees. As per the latest update, all government employees who have taken the covid-19 vaccine must take a monthly PCR test. The employees will have to pay for the tests. The tests should be taken every 28 days after they receive their second dose of the vaccine, authorities said.

Government Employees Should Take PCR Test After Every 28 Days

Employees who have the letter E displayed on their Al Hosn app are exempt from this test. The guideline released by the Human Resources Authority and the Department of Government Support also states that employees vaccinated within the national vaccination programmes and volunteers in clinical trials of Covid-19 vaccines who have the active icon (letter E) on the Al host app are exempt from the test.

Abu Dhabi Is Following Remote Working Since February 

Besides this, government employees who are yet to receive the second jab of vaccine should take the PCR test every seven days. And employees will bear the cost for the same. It also includes people who have not received the Covid-19 vaccine; those who have received two doses but have not yet completed the 28 day-period waiting for the full effectiveness to kick in; and those who have a medical certificate exempting them from taking it.

Well, as per the rules, any employee who needs temporary entry to the office for a meeting or other tasks must have a negative Covid-19 result from the past three days. For the workplace attendance, most Abu Dhabi employees are working from home, and the offices are operating with 30 per cent attendance, with the remainder of staff working remotely.
