After being postponed by a year, Expo 2020 Dubai is all set to take place this year. With just few months for the grand event, all precautions and guidelines are being laid out to ensure it is safe for residents and tourists. And now, the ticket prices for the mega event have been announced. A single-entry ticket will cost AED 95 while a six-month pass will cost AED 495. Entry is free for visitors under 18 and people of determination. Besides, the accompanying person will also get 50% discount. A multi-entry pass is available for AED 195.

What Are The Rules For Visiting The Expo 2020 Site In Dubai?
Recently, Khaleej Times has learnt that people visiting the Expo 2020 site in Dubai need not show vaccination proof. However, those vaccinated must also adhere to all the safety protocols.
“Visitors are not currently required to provide proof of vaccination to enter the Expo site. However, vaccination is strongly encouraged and vaccinated individuals will still be required to comply with precautionary measures, including wearing of masks, social distancing and regular washing and sanitisation of hands,” said the statement.
Vaccination Mandatory For Expo 2020 Event Organizers, Not For Visitors
With millions getting inoculated globally, Reem Al Hashimy, director general of the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, earlier said she was optimistic that the situation will improve. With a strong vaccination rollout, the world is slowly able to see the impact of inoculation, Ms Al Hashimy also told Bloomberg Daybreak. She also encouraged everyone to get vaccinated and further stressed that all it will be mandatory for the event organizers of entire Expo 2020 to be inoculated. “Currently, vaccination is something that we’re encouraging everybody to do, [for] all of our workforce it’s going to be mandatory vaccination,” she said.
However, the rule will not be enforced on tourists or visitors who come for Expo 2020 Dubai. Ms Al Hashimy added that testing would be in place for visitors at various stages. Besides, she was also asked whether the event could be cancelled in the event of a worsening Covid-19 situation.

“No. We’re not cancelling October 1, 2021. We’re going to host this event, it’s going to be a spectacular and great event,” she told Bloomberg. As for the travel bans in the US and UK, UAE is in talks with governments for lifting the ban. While some of their requirements have changed, there are a few other issues that need to be addressed.
Meanwhile, engineers and workers from dozens of nations are completing work on pavilions in the Expo 2020 site and planning events to attract tourists and residents. The grand fest will run for six-months, starting in October. Organisers expect 25 million visits, with more than 190 countries confirming participation. The countdown for the world’s largest cultural event of the year was launched last week and Dubai is doing its best to ensure the event is safe for everyone.
