United Airlines Flight Lost A Wheel After Departure
One of the wheels of the United Airlines Boeing 757-200 got detached and fell off a few seconds after the flight took off from Los Angeles International Airport on July 8. Video of the incident has been making rounds on social media platforms ever since then. Netizens are concerned about the scary news of a wheel coming out from the undercarriage of an aircraft.
The plane departed from Los Angeles International Airport’s runaway carrying 174 passengers and 7 cabin crew members. Fortunately, no major outcome was reported following the departure. Boeing 757-200 landed in Denver safely. Also, no cases of injuries have been reported, according to a report by India Today.
Later, the airline released a statement on this alarming incident. It stated that the detached wheel was found in Los Angeles. Also, the concerned members of the airline began inspecting to identify the primary causes behind a wheel falling off from a Boeing suddenly.
A Boeing spokesperson shared that Boeing 757-200 aircraft was released for delivery long back in 1994, according to a report by Livemint. It has been 30 years since it started operating.

A tyre fell off from a United Airlines Boeing 777 in March. The tyre detached after the flight departed from San Francisco. The scheduled destination was Japan but it was diverted later for an emergency landing. The detached part reportedly hit a car and damaged its window.
