Vietjet, Vietnam’s leading budget carrier, has announced exciting developments to expand its network in Asia. The airline recently celebrated a decade of successful air travel between Vietnam and South Korea by unveiling a new route connecting the coastal city of Nha Trang to Daegu, South Korea’s fourth-largest city. This announcement, made at the Vietnam – South Korea Tourism Promotion and Cultural Cooperation Forum in Seoul, reinforces Vietjet’s commitment to offering extensive connections between the two nations.

Vietjet Expands Network To China And South Korea

Since its inaugural flight in July 2014, Vietjet has grown significantly. To date, it has carried over ten million passengers on more than 37 regular and charter flights between Vietnam and South Korea. This continuous expansion highlights Vietjet’s crucial role in facilitating travel, fostering economic ties, and promoting tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Further bolstering regional connectivity, Vietjet also inaugurated a new route from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi province in China, on July 1. To celebrate this launch, the airline is offering a special promotional week.  One-way fares start from just ₹5,555 (all-inclusive) across its entire Indian network. This enticing offer is valid for bookings made between July 1st and July 7, 2024, for travel dates ranging from August 22, 2024 to May 25, 2025. Travellers can take advantage of these fares by booking on the Vietjet website or through the Vietjet Air mobile app.

Operating four round-trip flights weekly, the new China route complements Vietjet’s successful launches of flights to Shanghai and Chengdu. It further solidifies its growing network and strengthens regional cooperation.

In India, Vietjet has implemented strategic expansions. It has established a total of 29 weekly round-trip flights, creating seamless connections between Vietnam and four major Indian cities. These are New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi. They have a modern fleet, dedicated crew, and attractive promotions specifically designed for Indian customers.
