In this episode, we touched upon their lives before stardom hit and learned that Vihaan was a part-time study skills coach in New York!
Vihaan Samat Was A Part-Time As A Study Skills Coach In New York
We were curious about the cast members’ college life before they became a part of this glamorous industry. Vihaan told us that he was brought up in Mumbai. He and his co-star, Ananya, attend the same institution, Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
After that, Vihaan shifted to New York to pursue acting. He shared that due to some rules, he could only get a handful of jobs. One of them was as a part-time study skills coach where he had to teach at public schools. He said, “I had to go out at 6-7 AM to teach far-off public schools in New York and teach kids from 4th standard to 12th.” He mostly had to teach students how to memorise stuff.
Vihaan continued that this job grounded him in many ways. He could see the world from a different perspective and how it changed him for the better. He said, “I realised that the world is way bigger than you think, at least. There are a lot of people who come from far-off areas and don’t have the same world as you do. So, that’s something I learned.”

What Was His Pay As A Coach?
Continuing on the topic, Vihaan shared that he was paid $80 for every 4-hour class. This was also his first job and his salary was pretty good for a first-timer in New York. Hearing this, his co-stars were surprised. But he pointed out that this city is quite expensive to live in and has skyrocketing rent. So, it was all utilised in making ends meet while pursuing a college degree.
