You might know about everything that happened in the past few days with the airline. From conducting a meeting with the pilots to address all the issues to taking steps to provide better services to passengers, the airline is on the path to improving its services. Vinod Kannan, the Vistara CEO, talked about the harsh start to the new financial year and all the operational disruption between 31 March and 2 April.

In his monthly newsletter, he shared the good news that the airline is already stabilising its operations and assured his colleagues that “the worst is behind us”. On 9 April 2024, the airline raised its on-time performance to 89 per cent. This is the second-highest record for Indian airlines’ on-time performance. Acknowledging the issues leading to a shortage of pilots and other reasons behind flight delays and cancellations, he expressed his gratitude to the airline pilots for “cooperating and stepping up to support operations”.

Vinod Kannan also thanked the frontline staff, support functions, and customer-facing teams. These employees had a hard time facing the chaotic and daunting incidents in the last week. Vistara aims to become a customer-oriented airline and conduct operations smoothly. The airline is taking all steps to bounce back stronger.
