Wadi Cinema opens its doors on February 5 and will be here in the JAX District till February 8. This pop-up returns after a wait of four long years for its second edition. Showcasing a host of regional and international screenings, it’s absolutely perfect for cinema lovers. As it happens, it is situated at the kingdom’s first Biennale and overlooks Wadi Haneefa. Transforming the district into a fantastic fusion of cinemas, it’s worth checking out.

In case you’re wondering about all the movies that you can watch here, they are as follows – The Straight Story (1999), Eraserhead (1977), Mr. Rambo (2024), Bird (2024), All We Imagine As Light, and To A Land Unknown. In fact, there will also be live discussions with filmmakers like Khaled Mansour, who is the maker of Mr Rambo after the film screening. The debates will be discussing the cinematic impact of American filmmaker David Lynch and it’s certainly something movie enthusiasts would want to stay for.

If you also wish to book your ticket, all you need to do is drop a message to Wadi Cinema on their official Instagram account. In case you are living a rock, the first edition of the pop-up came as a part of Deir Biennale, which was in 2021 and had drawn till March 2022.
