If you’ve ever watched a movie and carried its energy home for a few hours, Saqib Saleem would like you to know he understands. The actor recently appeared on Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani alongside his sister, Huma Qureshi. Over plates of kebabs at Mumbai’s legendary Bade Miyan, the conversation quickly turned into what it usually becomes when siblings are involved: public roasting.
Huma Qureshi Shares Saqib Saleem’s Post-Movie Obsession Story
And Huma Qureshi came prepared. While recalling an evening after watching Obsession, she shared a story that left both Kamiya Jani, our editor-in-chief, and viewers with a rather vivid mental image of Saqib Saleem running wild inside a movie theatre.
According to her, the family had finished watching the film and was waiting for the crowd to leave before stepping out. That’s when Saqib seemingly decided the movie wasn’t over yet.
“This lovely film is called Obsession, and we’ve finished watching the movie,” Huma recalled, before revealing that her brother suddenly started behaving like “Freaky Nikki”, one of the film’s most unsettling characters. She described him running across the theatre hall, screaming dramatically and chasing people around while repeatedly yelling, “No no no no no.”
Most people would deny such allegations. Saqib doubled down.

The Viral Video Threat That Started A Sibling War
“That’s what movies do to me, yaar,” he admitted, explaining that he gets completely absorbed in whatever he’s watching. The actor jokingly claimed that after seeing Obsession, he genuinely felt like he had become Nikki. In his version of events, his performance was apparently so convincing that the theatre emptied almost instantly.
“Main bangaya Nikki,” he said, adding that people practically ran out of the hall. The best part was that Huma Qureshi claims there is evidence.
Trying to regain some leverage in the sibling battle, she revealed that she actually has a video of the entire incident and threatened to post it online if Saqib continued annoying her. Instead of pleading for mercy, Saqib encouraged her to go ahead. “Please put it, viral hojaega Huma. Aaj kal virality ka zamaana hai.”
That confidence was immediately shut down. Huma shot back, delivering the kind of brutally practical response only an older sibling can.
The exchange lasted barely a few minutes, but it perfectly captured the mood and madness of the episode. Between food recommendations, family stories and constant leg-pulling, Huma and Saqib were less Bollywood stars and more the siblings at every family gathering who cannot let each other survive a conversation without at least one embarrassing story making an appearance.
Although if that video ever does get posted, we’re siding with Saqib on one thing: it would probably go viral.
