Water Babies Must Shell Out More For River Rafting At Karnataka’s Dubare

Between quality furnishings and mother nature lies the splendid destination Dubare, in Karnataka. Dubare is just 234km from the chaotic city of Bangalore. Dubare offers one of the best river rafting experiences. However, with rafting prices at Kodagu’s favorite adventure sports venues increasing, water sports enthusiasts will have to spend more to experience the thrill of the fast-moving waters.

River Rafting Will Cost You More

Although they have permission to operate other boats at Dubare, Barapole, and Kumaradhara. Yes, the Kodagu district government has granted licenses to operate a total of 75 boats for river rafting at Dubare near Kushalnagar. With up to 65 boats in regular service, they’ve added 8 more to increase their boat numbers and meet the demand of those seeking river rafting adventures.

At a meeting in Madikeri chaired by Deputy Secretary B.C. Satish was granted on Thursday to operate another additional boat for rafting operations. The deputy commissioner urged rafting operators to ensure the boats were in good condition and should not cause any inconvenience to the more adventurous folks. He also suggested that some of the income generated by the Dubare camp could be used to improve the infrastructure.

At the meeting, it was agreed to increase the rafting fee at Dubare from ₹600 to ₹800. It was decided that at Barapore they will charge 1,200 rupees and at Kumaradhara 200 rupees.

When Is The Best Time To Visit Dubare For River Rafting?

June to late September is the ‘white water’ season, while October to December or January is the ‘still water’ season. Then the water level will drop.  As the whitewater season runs from June to late September, the best time for rafting on Dubare is during the monsoon season when water levels rise. It is best to book well in advance.
